Humboldt is Saskatchewan's newest city, nestled in the middle of the beautiful Canadian prairies. It is a thriving, dynamic community for business, industry, education and culture.Humboldt has a positive future, with two proposed new potash mines near by and a major expansion of the retail sector including well known big box stores. Recent growth and improvements include the new District Hospital set to open within the next month, a High School currently under construction connected to the Uniplex recreation centre, a multi-million dollar expansion at nearby ST.Peters College and increased university programs affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan and Caleb Village seniors housing project nearing completion. This is an exiting time for the community of Humboldt !
Westwood Development Corporation has a 155 acre parcel on the West side of the city that offers opportunity for both commercial and residential lots. We are currently developing a residential plan that will address all levels of housing needs, from multi-family units and starter homes to large lots backing onto a lake and park setting.
Our commercial development is well under way with Discovery Automotive Group inhabiting their new Ford and MotorSports dealerships, the Canalta Hotel open for business and the current construction of Westwood Center. Farm Credit Corporation will occupy their new location in the Weswood Center in March 2011 and Conexus Insurance will occupy in Summer 2011.
